Benjamin Azoulay, CEO of Oledcomm, has been appointed as the new Chair of the HomeGrid Forum's LiFi Task Force, empowering manufacturers worldwide to contribute to the future of LiFi technology. The HomeGrid Forum recognised Azoulay and Oledcomm for their groundbreaking innovations in the G.vlc LiFi sector, including the miniaturisation of LiFi technology into an ASIC chip, enabling seamless integration into mobile devices.

Oledcomm's achievements in the LiFi space have been remarkable, from launching the first-ever LiFi G.hn product into space via a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in April 2023 to developing ruggedised solutions for industrial applications. HomeGrid Forum President Livia Rosu praised Azoulay's dedication to driving LiFi advancements and adoptions, stating that his vision for greater collaboration and interoperability has inspired various industries.

LiFi technology, pioneered by Oledcomm, is a secure, low-detection alternative to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or 5G technologies, utilizing optical wireless communication within the photonics field without radio frequency waves. As the new LiFi Task Force Chair, Azoulay aims to persuade more manufacturers to join forces in developing reliable, interoperable solutions, offering a comprehensive range of fully compatible LiFi solutions to provide a backbone for future innovation.

Oledcomm's leadership in LiFi technology has attracted partnerships with industry giants such as Airbus, Thales, Oneweb, Cambium Networks, CNES, and ESA. The company's contributions have been acknowledged by the European Innovation Council (EIC) through the SatelLiFe project and by the French Government with the LEEOS project, highlighting Oledcomm and Azoulay's pivotal roles within the LiFi sector and beyond.
