LifiLED Partners With COP15 to Combat Desertification and Climate Change

1. LifiLED and COP15

LifiLED, an Ivorian technology company specialising in the provision of connectivity services based on the integration of LiFi solutions with intelligent lighting and green energy, and the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP15 UNCCD) signed a memorandum of understanding in Paris on Tuesday, during the Change Now global summit being held from 25 to 27 March.

The memorandum was signed by Ange Frédérick Balma, founder and CEO of LifiLED, and Alain Richard Donwahi, President of COP15, as a sign of their shared commitment to innovation and action to protect the environment.

LifiLED is renowned for its expertise in developing eco-responsible solutions combining renewable energies and cutting-edge technologies such as LiFi technology. As part of this agreement, it is committed to deploying a series of actions designed to effectively combat land degradation, desertification and drought. The partnership also aims to mobilise resources and innovations for sustainable land management. The aim is to finance initiatives to combat land degradation, promote drought resilience policies, and encourage training and capacity-building for young people.

In addition, this agreement aims to offer new opportunities for economic development and the protection of ecosystems, which will benefit thousands of people in Côte d'Ivoire and elsewhere.

The Ivorian company LifiLED is committed to offering its institutional support, sharing its research and innovations, and helping to raise awareness of desertification issues. At the same time, COP15 will use its network and expertise to integrate LifiLED into global initiatives, such as Africa's Great Green Wall.
