Received Signal Strength Indicator - RSSI

A measurement of how well your device can hear a signal from an access point or router. It's a value that is useful for determining if you have enough signal to get a good wireless connection.

Radio-Frequency - RF

The oscillation rate of an alternating electric current or voltage or of a magnetic, electric or electromagnetic field or mechanical system in the frequency.

Radio Wave - RW

A type of electromagnetic radiation with the longest wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum, typically with frequencies of 300 gigahertz and below.

Radio-Frequency Identification - RFID

A form of wireless communication that incorporates the use of radio waves to identify people or objects.

Routers

A device that connects two or more packet-switched networks or subnetworks. It serves two primary functions: managing traffic between these networks by forwarding data packets to their intended IP addresses and allowing multiple devices to use the same Internet connection.
