P2P-Link

A Point-to-point connection link between two communication endpoints or nodes

Point-to-multipoint communication

It refers to communication that is accomplished through a distinct and specific form of one-to-many connections, offering several paths from one single location to various locations.

Physical Layer - PHY

An electronic circuit, usually implemented as an integrated circuit, is required to implement physical layer functions of the OSI model in a network interface controller.

Photo-Detector

A photocell used to detect light. This can also be any device, such as a photodiode, phototube, or photovoltaic cell, that uses the photoelectric effect to convert radiant energy into an electrical signal.

Power Line Communication – PLC

A technology for implementing wired Ethernet local area networks (LANs) that enables the electrical current necessary for operating each device to be carried by Ethernet data cables instead of standard electrical power cords and wiring.

Power over Ethernet – PoE

Visible Light Communication (VLC), Light Fidelity (LiFi), Optical Camera Communication (OCC), and Free-Space Optical Communication (FSOC) are examples of OWC technologies where each has its own underlying architecture and operating principles.
