LiFi, Proteus and TEC800 Robot Were Presented During the President of the Republic's Wishes

Section Technique De L'armée De Terre

In a significant display of military technological advancement, three cutting-edge materials evaluated by the Section technique de l'armée de Terre (Technical Section of the Army -STAT) were showcased during the President of the Republic's wishes ceremony. These innovations were LiFi, Proteus, and the TEC800 robot which represent substantial progress in military capabilities and operational effectiveness.

LiFi Technology

The emergence of LiFi technology marks a crucial development in military communications, particularly in environments where traditional wireless frequencies are saturated or limited. This innovation significantly enhances the manoeuverability and resilience of command systems for land forces. LiFi's transmission via optical spectrum provides superior security compared to conventional radio waves, effectively using the risk of hostile interception or hacking. The technology's primary strengths include its ultra-fast and agile deployment capabilities, alongside its ability to establish discreet and secure connections.

Proteus: Advanced Drone Defense System

In response to the increasing drone threats on modern battlefields, the Army initiated the innovative Proteus project in early 2024. Within just four months, STAT's artillery group successfully progressed from initial design to demonstration and deployment phases.

The Proteus Standard 1 system integrates a 20mm cannon mounted on an anti-aircraft mount, complemented by an advanced camera system and computational capabilities, all carried by a TRM 2000 truck platform. This configuration enhances detection capabilities and firing accuracy compared to conventional 20mm cannons, complementing the existing VAB ARLAD system. The 35th Parachute Artillery Regiment (RAP) will receive the initial deployment, with the system being used to train instructors at the 17th Artillery Group (GA).

Currently under development with the Ministerial Agency for Defense Artificial Intelligence (AMIAD), Proteus Standard 2 will incorporate several advanced features including an integrated weather station, artificial intelligence capabilities, enhanced detection systems, and improved mobility features.

TEC800 Robot: Advanced Military Robotics

Presented by the CENZUB (94th RI) robotics exploratory section, the TEC800 robot represents a significant advancement in military robotics. Originally conceived for firefighting applications, this versatile platform offers impressive capabilities through its compact design enabling building access, modular and transformable configuration, and maximum payload capacity of 800 kg. The system can be remotely operated up to 1000 meters, making it an invaluable asset for various military operations. The TEC800's distinctive advantages lie in its modularity, effective logistical support capabilities, and advanced surveillance features.

These technological innovations demonstrate the Army's ongoing commitment to maintaining technological superiority and ensuring operational effectiveness. Through these advancements, the military continues to adapt to evolving security challenges while enhancing its capability to protect and serve.
