Velmenni announced that the prestigious College of Military Engineering in Pune was recently outfitted with an advanced indoor LiFi wireless LAN by Velmenni. The LiFi network, including access points and dongles provided by Velmenni, was met with admiration from visiting armed forces officials. They were especially struck by the network's reliability, security, and efficiency, proving it a game-changer in delivering seamless, very secure, high-speed wireless connectivity.

The officials were enthusiastic about the capabilities enabled by the LiFi network. Its ability to provide ultra-fast speeds as well as an extra layer of security was seen as a major asset for the college. LiFi technology ensures data cannot be intercepted outside the enclosed area, making it ideal for secure settings. The officials felt the network would significantly empower research and learning at the institution while fortifying its defenses against cyber threats. They were pleased students and faculty would have access to this cutting-edge network. Velmenni's LiFi solution marks a pioneering achievement in implementing this technology in academic spaces.

The College of Military Engineering (CME) in Pune is a premier technical and tactical engineering institution of the Indian Army Corps of Engineers. CME provides training for Combat Engineers, the Military Engineering Service, the Border Roads Engineering Services, and Survey corps.

Situated adjacent to the sprawling Khadki cantonment along NH4, CME was established in 1943 as the School of Military Engineering in Roorkee. In addition to training Indian Army officers and those from allied nations, CME plays a consultative role for the Indian Army and engages in research and experimentation. The college has been instrumental in developing engineering solutions and innovations for the armed forces while producing generations of distinguished military engineers over its storied history. CME continues to be at the forefront of military engineering education, equipping officers with the latest technical skills and knowledge.

VELMENNI

Based in New Delhi, Velmenni was established in 2012 by its dynamic CEO, Deepak Solanki. This innovative startup has the distinction of being the first in India to delve into the potential of Visible Light Communications technology. The primary focus of the company is the development of LiFi solutions capable of transmitting wireless data at lightning-fast speeds via visible light. Their dedicated team is working relentlessly to achieve this objective.

Velmenni has been at the forefront of several pioneering milestones in research and development within the domain. They are particularly concentrating on enhancing connectivity to facilitate ultra-fast communication devoid of any disturbance.

Presently, the firm has managed to design a LiFi-based mesh network solution that enables data transmission over extended distances. They are also collaborating with Airbus BizLab, harboring aspirations to integrate this innovative technology into the aviation sector. It has potential applications in ground, motion, and air contexts, where the installation of optical cables is virtually unfeasible.

Fundamentally, Velmenni is striving to develop practical technology that can harmonize smoothly with existing WiFi technology. The goal is to establish a sturdy, sustainable network in any given environment. Guided by a vision to construct technology driven by scientific research, Velmenni intends to apply its solutions across various settings for comprehensive global empowerment.
