Li-Fi Conference 3rd Edition Coming Up on Tuesday 27th June 2023

In today's article, we will discuss the upcoming and anticipated Li-Fi Conference 2023, 3rd edition. The conference is coming up on the 27th of June 2023. We will also talk about the moderator, speakers and the companies they work for, the venue and registration details, the Li-Fi Conference event's partners and the obvious reasons/benefits for attending the conference.

MODERATOR - PIETER HERMANS

Pieter Hermans acquired Jakajima, a Benelux publishing company, and restructured it into a matchmaker for innovators in the high-tech industry, ranging from 3D Additive Manufacturing to Internet of Things, from Unmanned Systems to Health Tech, from Photonics to 3D Bioprinting and from Experience Design to Virtual Reality.

As the technology develops itself from atoms to bits and from bits to atoms, traditional boundaries between value chains disappear which offers new business opportunities. Pieter Hermans, a matchmaker for innovators, focuses on these crossovers.

Since July 2021 he is Chairman of the Platform Unmanned Cargo Aircraft, which is an open, non-profit association of member organizations which aims to support the development and deployment of Unmanned Cargo Aircraft, while driving a consistent, focused and concise approach to market education that will highlight the benefits, use cases and deployments of Unmanned Cargo Aircraft (UCA) from the first mile to middle mile and last mile and with small to large cargo implementations.

He has been chairman/moderator of several international conferences and has given many presentations on these crossovers of technology, business and creativity – not to forget enthusiasm and humour.

SPEAKER 1 - DOMINIQUE CHIARONI

According to his LinkedIn profile, Mr Dominique Chiaroni is a Senior research engineer expert in Optical Systems. He currently works on new systems at the boundary of the access domain, and the core domain to propose competitive low-cost and low-power-consuming white/green boxes for different network segments and vertical markets. Dominique Chiaroni will do a presentation about Light Communication Alliance: a key institution for a greener ICT.

SPEAKER 2 - PROFESSOR HARALD HAAS

SPEAKER 3 - JOHN JOSEPH

Mr John Joseph has designed and patented a new architecture with help from the Optipulse team for a type of Semiconductor Laser (VCSEL) which was developed and optimized at Sandia National Labs. The Laser array provides an extremely fast 10Gbps + single channel optical wireless signal that has enough power to link wireless connections across km of distance or curb to home from an inexpensive chip the size of a pinhead. This device enables high-speed connectivity with ease of alignment as the higher power enables wider beams. The chip produces high power and high speed that can be used for other applications in Lidar (Light Detection and Ranging). or machine vision. The devices produce an optical wireless connection which can reduce latency in communications infrastructure. John Joseph will do a presentation about High Bandwidth LiFi Connections with high-efficiency data transfers.

Global Li-Fi Conference 2023

LiFi is a wireless communication technology which uses light to transmit data and position between devices. The technology is similar to Wi-Fi but uses light to transmit data instead of radiofrequency in terms of its end-use.

Using light to transmit data allows LiFi to offer several advantages, most notably a wider bandwidth channel, the ability to safely function in areas otherwise susceptible to electromagnetic interference (e.g. aircraft cabins, hospitals, military), and offering higher transmission speeds.

It is interesting to realise that lights that illuminate offices, homes, cars, factories, our streets and more locations also can connect us to data and hence power the growing demand for connectivity and speed.

Li-Fi Conference is an annual event held online and in a physical venue where professionals from all over the globe gather together in order to share applications, ideas, LiFi trends, new developments and ways to integrate LiFi into services, both for consumers and professionals.

As stated by JakajimaTV, the following topics will be covered at the upcoming conference are as followed:
