CIA Triad (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability)

A model designed to guide policies for information security within an organisation.

Connection

In a telecommunications context, it means connecting two or more devices.

Connectivity

In a telecommunications context, it refers to all those technologies and services that allow end-users to connect to a communication network. It encompasses an increasing volume of data, wireless and wired protocols and standards, and combinations within a single use case or location.

Cyber-Physical Systems - CPS

These are systems composed of physical systems (hardware), software systems and potentially other types of systems (e.g., human systems).  These are closely integrated and networked to deliver some global behaviour.

Color Shift Keying - CSK

An intensity modulation-based modulation scheme for VLC.

Control Unit

A circuitry within a computer's processor that directs operations. It instructs the memory, logic unit, and both output and input devices of the computer on how to respond to the program's instructions. CPUs and GPUs are examples of devices that use control units.
